Today’s Moosday photos feature my family’s yearling herd bull, T-Bone, that we purchased earlier this year. T-Bone was sired by Ribeye (yes, that’s his real name!) a registered purebred polled Hereford bull owned by my past beef cattle professor at Penn State University, Dr. Dan Kniffen. T-Bone came to live with my family back in early March and I will say he’s been a happy boy ever since. Being a bull, his main purpose is to breed the cows (what male wouldn’t be happy with that!). Now that breeding season is over we’re all anxious to see what next year’s calf crop will bring. I know one thing, there will be lots of little white faces running around. Hopefully I can share some of those with you in the spring!
