That sums up my graduate school experience so far. I’m less than a month away from being finished with my Masters degree. While I won’t officially receive my degree until December, I am looking forward to the feeling of relief that I will have the day my final thesis is submitted to the University of Kentucky Graduate School and I can move on to whatever the “next step” is in my life.
While it only feels like yesterday that I moved to “My New Kentucky Home,” I can sincerely say that I’ve become a little attached to this state. Wherever my path takes me in life, I’ll be sure to bring a little of Kentucky along with me in the form of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, Derby pies, and Rebecca Ruth bourbon balls.
Seeing my first field of tobacco, the beautiful Thoroughbred farms that make up the Bluegrass landscape, and the multitude of people that I have become friends with along the way have made this this experience well worth it.
To everyone that has been a part of my journey along the way, I just want to say THANKS! I couldn’t have gotten this far without you.
And just in case you’re interested in what exactly it was I have working on all this time, once officially approved and published by the Graduate School, I’ll be sharing my thesis with you on this blog. Stay tuned.

Good luck my friend, you’ll do fine at whatever you do because you’ll be following ‘the cowgirl way’!
